Don't know if its new or old info but surely I am seeing it for the first time. However, the specifications appear crazy. Does repeating a spec make it more attractive

As it is not a programmable receiver, I dont see how it can be used for cs other than in the first few weeks after purchase. Third party coders are unlikely to provide firmware and DMM are notorious for not updating their firmware unless you pay them. If a built-in emu is included and I doubt that it is, it will be out of date in a very short time.
I certainly would not even consider buying one.

I wonder exactly who its aimed at. Who are these 'novice and advanced users' that DMM has in mind? I can't imagine advanced users being interested given that it has a proprietary OS instead of Linux (or something else similarly accessible) and, despite the comparatively low price, novices could probably dip their toes in at lower cost elsewhere.

update on this just grabbed this info from a different site
New release new emu s/w version. 1. In this s/w version, we fixed, - Add CCCAM protocol - Fixed 9750/10750 LNB Frequency - Add channel changes (Numeric/Alphabet sorting) - Fixed auto and manual time setting - Hide Server menu: Expert menu PIN code - input pin code '0000' only shows tcp/ip setting, input '0101' show all items, you can change PIN code, too. - Add Email application (Only available POP3 mail receiving, mail sending will be added later) - Fixed Premiere sub channels (when you change another TP, it may takes some seconds when you get sub channels, we will make it faster later) 2. In the dm100 s/w downloader (loadercheditor.zip), - added COM port 'auto mode'. But before press 'auto' button to look for com port automatically, you have to wait around 20sec until dm100 booting is finished. If not, Automatic com port will not work. |
