I prefer PHP because I've already developed and optimized several apps using php and as we all know that unix is a networking machine compared to windows which I believe until now is trying hard to cope up with linux. for the simple reason that there are mighty powerful applications in .php and it's all free and not to mention it comes with free database also using mysql. all my servers are in unix and Im faster to deploy/admin/manage a unix box rather than a windows box, though I use on my desktop win98 but that's beside the point.

PHP. I think it's more popular now. It's easy to learn and use, and powerful.

I prefer PHP... Not only because I am not so familiar with ASP, but ASP is only one Windows host which can be very unsecure!

I like PHP because you can do a lot with it and I really don't know what ASP is. I use PHP and MySQL a lot, but I really don't know how to script it well.

Majority of nowadays websites use PHP. Well, I just followed them and use ready-made PHP scripts. PHP voting pools, PHP Guestbooks, phpMyAdmin and phpBB.

yeah i tried hard learning asp because the database is in ms access and I have no ms access at that time so no choice but I found out that it breaks more often and I believe it's still unstable most probably because of the o.s. it uses.
