Went to bed last night and left box on paramount comedy 1. Just put box on for first time today and the dreaded "codes updating" message was burnt into the middle of a frozen screen.

Tried changing codes back to last roll 7/8/08 but still no luck, the old "please wait, code being updated".

Anyone else without latest firmware also had a key change today?

mines doing it now, nothing been watching it for 2 hrs now just keeps gonig round the houses

Ah thata alright then if the keys have rolled. Was just worried the box had imploded overnight!

Will wait for the new codes to come out and be back in business.

well there is no update on big mac, also sorted now, it hated it as the box was on record. i stopped rec and now all channels back

Havent updated firmware yet as was worried about the box being bricked. I read the guidlines as to how to find out if the box is a clone and openned it up, had a butchers inside and am 97% its genuine but my only worry is that the cables were crossed over inside so it was alwyas in the back of my mind as to whether it might die if i updated it. And changing codes every now and then isnt much of an inconvenience so i never bothered...yet!
