it is my box and i have recently had it disconected v said they do not want the box back and i should dispose of it anyway i feel fit , so iam wondering if there is any way i can get it to act like a starview ie without subscription , the things i need to find out is weather its possable , what items i need to purchace and how much its going to set me back , as iam sure you can tell iam a compleate noob ,but hey we all have to start somewhere , i have messed around with starview and unlocked my i-phone so iam not frightened of a bit of tinkering.

many thanks in advance if anyone can help out it will be much aprechiated , and if this if the wrong forum iam sorry and can you direct me to the correct place

I dont have one of these boxes but as far as i know they can be modded but you will need original card to get details from(I assume you have it) so i would advise you to take card out now untill you get it modded, other wise it will get false details sent to it if not already(Thats if the box is still connected to cable feed).

You will need a "card programmer" (Recommend phoenix usb infinity)
You will need a "Unlooper"
You can get a "50db noise blocker" to stop talkback

Not sure what else you need for one of these models.
lol ,dont order anything yet until someone can confirm the above first

good luck

Tropheus can you answer a few quick q's for me,

When you disconnected did they remove the cable wire they put into your house?

Can you tell me how long after subscription did you disconnect from virgin?, did you pay a disconnection fee?.

if you have remoed the card before your subs finished your good to get this mod going. otherwise your box is just good for the FTA channels.

since you removeds the card before it ended. do u wanna sell it?

Hi, got a question. ive currently got a eurovox max v 2008 and i'm looking to get a HD-V+ box to replace it. i just want to know whether i can just put a V+ box in to replace it, or do i have to be subscribed to the hd service?
Thankx in advance...
