Hello everyone

Please answer my question and apologies if this has been asked b4.

I am looking to buy one of these soon for a mate. I was gonna get him the one that I have which is the black eurovox max v 2008.

Is this just the same basically only a newer slimmer version as in the way playstation 2 did it. Please see link 1 X EUROVOX EX1000 SL The LATEST max 2008 Cable Box on eBay, also, Cable Boxes, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics (end time 22-Sep-08 13:01:00 BST)

Basically all I need to know is that these boxes run the same and that the exact same firmware etc is used to update it as the box that I have. Also are these boxes any good? Any known problems?

It has its own firmware but the procedure for flashing it is exactly the same as the maxv 2008

1) As smoggy says

2) Firmware can be downloaded from thechatterbox toolbar. (g00gle it)

3) New box is same, very slight diff in menu options when scanning etc. New box also has no buttons on the front..!

Also no UHF modulator and the power cord isn't detachable - but they work well
