Hi all

I've been a paying customer of virgin media broadband services for many years, even before 2000 (I am on the NTL part, not telewest). Anyway, I have been getting very annoyed lately because of the traffic shaping. I'm on 2Mbit yet as soon as you try to download something a few minutes later it will go down to 1Mbit, so why do they advertise it as 2Mbit? Lies. The quality of the service has also gone down quite a bit lately, speeds often suck. So, that's why I'm here. If anyone is willing to help me, I would like to know what ways there are to hack the modem, how you do it and everything. I'm currently on an ambit 100 modem, but I'm willing to get a new modem

I'm new to all this stuff, so any help will be appreciated. I'm clueless at the moment about how to do it all, but I'm not an idiot and I learn things fast. If anyone could point me to some guides, or good sites/forums that would be great too. Feel free to PM me

1) "Private FTA" section
2) "Cable modems"
3)Download "Box net"

Hayes mannual guide is good place to start too, its in the downloads section>modems.
