I am thinking of buying a technomate 5200d and I was wondering if someone can give me info or a link to where I will be able to download the darkman patch? Also what channels will it unlock?

Look for alsat for downloads and at present, with the latest patch, it can currently open the following packages, Premiere, TPS, Polsat, Digi TV Showtime and ART.

I'm fairly new to this and also run the Technomate 5200. Can you confirm that by uploading the patch I can watch all the above channels. Bare in mind that my Sat dish is fixed at Astra 28.8e setting

You will get nothing with a fixed dish on 28.2E, all those packages are on other satellites, Premiere 19E, Polsat 13E, Digi TV 1W etc.....

TM5200 Super will allow recording of encrytpted channel, the TM5200 will not. Be warned

my advice is when you buy a tm5200, go motorised.The patch will then be worth downloading. Premiere is open 19e, tps 13e etc.

Please check the dates of the thread, the posts you're reading are from nearly 3 years ago, a lot changes in that time, especially in the world of satellites.

Support for some Technomate receivers has all but ended, but check around as there might be a new patch, and keys, for your receiver, but you will only be able to open a few channels, nothing compared to what was available when the thread was started.

Try Alsat, their forum used to produce the patches for technomate receivers.
