Default Noobs questions

Hi there, sorry for the noob questions about to come.
Purchased a flashed modem from Ebay (not sure wether it was wise or not).
Its a black modem and ref number on is 255 ntl 250

Its arrived without a power supply. Are they pretty standard and can i get them from Maplins?. Any particular model?

The inline splitter for the cable. Is that a particular type or model.?Again from Maplins?

The cable itself. Same again. A particular grade or type of cable.

Cheers for any help.

If you already have a subbed modem use that power supply.I too bought a box off flea-bay no power unit supplied.Maybe slight voltage difference if you check both boxes but nowt to worry about.
Just get your cable and splitter and have fun.
Good luck

Hi and thanks for the replies.
My plan is to run both modems. So i really do need another power supply.
I took the modem to Maplins and some kid told me i would have to get 1 direct from Virgin as it was 10v. Is this correct or will a 9v or 12v one do the job?.

Read somewhere that modems are tested to a far greater range than + or - 2Volts.
Thats why i decided to use existing VM psu @12v on ambit 250 modem which is 10V (or vice versa),had no trouble what so ever. You'll be ok @ 12volts!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards
