hi
I was on the internet the other night and the page froze so i pressed the X to close the screen and went to re-open the internet browser but it would not come on. The modem I am using is an ambit 250 which is flashed with infite firmware. The only lights diplaying when the modem is switched on now are the power light and the Eth light is blinking. Has cable somehow bricked my modem and if so can it be fixed?

Hi m8.
the 250 and 255 modems are somehow all getting banned.
Depending on what part of the uk you are in some parts have started new counter measures. in Dundee Scotland and fife their has been some changes to the way modems register on the system.
when the modems sign on the s/n number has to match the mac address.
this only effects some modems.

I don't know if this new system. is going to be rolled out or what.

just had this with my modded modem it is the mac in the modem not the one you use that is getting banned off the system
