I have only entered the mac address and config into the modem. Do I need to enter anything else? In the 'configs' text file that DHCPForce creates with the list of macs, there is the mac address, config file and some sort of ip address. Do I nees to enter the ip address anywhere?
Is this saying I'm getting 20MB?

teartray. That looks spot on mate.
How was you seeing that you was getting 8meg? Was it another speed test site? Or was it on downloading something on the net. Cos if it was, i hope you relise that you dont get 2mbps (Equivelent to the 20mb advertised) download all the time, it depends on the servers your downloading from. Try downloading something from Microsoft website and see what speed tht gives you.

The highest download speed on my torrents so far has been 1.5 mbps. So you don't think I'll get 2mbps? 1.5mbps is fast enough for me though!

well 1.5mbps on torrents seem brilliant lol. Ive had nothing more than 800k which sucks. But i rarely use torrents, only when Newzbin doesnt have something. Usenet is the fastest thought xD
Its excellent and worth the investment ![]() But yeah some speed test sites give u all sorts of readings. The most reliable is by downloading something from the web or using a downloader like torrents or usenet to find out how fast. |

I downloaded a 6.3 mb file from Microsoft and it took 3 seconds at 2.08mbps so I'm happy! So can you download movies and music on Newzbin? Is better than Torrents? |

Yeah that seems good. If u download something bigger it will have better chance of getting to top speed.
Well newzbin is the serach site being £1 for premium use (which u need) and you need a server, such as Ngroups, which is about £7 a month for unlimited use. I can get a 5gb files in around 30-35 mins, and best thing is, is that it doesnt slow down like torrents. Its basically always constant. But you can get like anything from Newzbin. You need a email invite though. |
