Default Few general questions about Eurovox

Hello all, I've been looking for a while at getting a motorised dish setup, but now looking at the Eurovox route, mainly as I already have 10MB connection with VM. I know an installer who's filled me in on the main things to know, and that it is hard to be traced, however the risk is there, and that I can get it without subscribing, however..

I mainly wanted to know what packages to posters subscribe to, if at all, the main reason I ask this as I was planning to have the basic VM package alongside my Broadband, but read that my Vox can't talkback if VM communicate, which is when they can get suspicious, which is where I'm cautious

So if I didn't subscribe, but got a Eurovox, would there be any less suspicion aroused, becuase as I see from what I've read, the line is live as I recieve the net (unless I've read wrong) and so activity coming from my line won't be seen as suspicious as I am legally connected to the net, and there is no need for them to try to talkback as I'm not suppose to be a subscriber???

Also thanks to bob (telecom69), who was really helpful on which and where to buy from

Apologies if this is poorly worded, and thanks in advance for any replies

Firstly i only have my broadband with V@@gin, and that is through my BT phone line....

I would not subscribe to the basic package because 1, you are wasting your money cos you are going to get all them channels with your EV, also they would know your not using your legit box due to the talkback, .........

So my answer is, get your EV and do not subscribe to the basic package, save your money or give me it......

cally, you wont have a guaranteed live cable line if you dont have any package with virgin through their cable system since you get ur BB through the BT phoneline.
The basic package isnt such a waste, yes you will get all the channels on the Eurovox, but without the talk back on this box eliminates VirginOnDemand. Which some people like and is handy at times.
If you did subscribe to their basic TV package then just simply keep it connected and plugged in and just pop it behind your TV or something, just so that it can talk back to VM when it needs to.
I only have VM's basic 2mb Broadband Package and then a Vox and a H**ked Modem. So my line will stay active.
But if you do have a BB package with them, then dont bother getting the tv package as your line will stay active.
Hope this has Helped xD

Thanks for all your replies, you've put my mind at rest as well as saving me a tenner a month

Last question, what cables does the vox come with? As I'm thinking that I may need to order the long white cable that goes from the box on the wall to the back of the box

Thanks again

It doesn't come with that cable as standard (nor a scart lead), but I can supply cables any length you require. I don't usually use White cable unless specifically requested
