Hi people, I put in my own subbed MAC and TFTIP details etc... just to see if i could get the cloned modem to work. Write all the settings OK to the modem but when I try and connect to the Internet I just get nothing.
It is hooked up to a router, but im just swapping it with my subbed one, so it should just work, no? Thanks! |

take the router out of the picture at first and try to connect the modded 1 then, if u do this with no joy, double check all your settings, etc or try changing annex to b!!
see how it goes and post back! also de[endiong whwre youlive, u may have to change the serial number of your modem to match the the mac you put in!! all have to do is change the modems serial number to match the mac your going to use..... use hyperterminal as normal and cut paste follwoing in sections...... cd cm_hal scan_stop cd / cd non-vol cd snmp_cm docsDevSerialNumber cmxxxxxxxxxxxx (replace 12 xxxxxxxxxxxx'S with your mac address) write

I had similar problem a while back while trying to hook up infinite 250.
I tried using subbed mac details without success too. All what was wrong was the seller put in the wrong download freq No. in modded modem. Make sure this is the same as your subbed one. Good luck |

u should be able to set dl freq as zero in the 255 ambits and the like as it scans for it anyway, putting in the correct freq yourself just speeds up the initial booting of modem....like where i am even if i put in freq 33*000*** it always locks at 4**7100** ....this is what i have found , just now some macs are needing the modem to have the serial number matching also, though this is more so area dependant aty mo i beleive , but im coming accross a few of l8 that have needed the serial doing othyerwise the aint worked , but others do--strange-but if it works thats what im doing!"
