Default how baffling.... any ideas?

i have some of the yellow fun cards, with the crazy looking woman and open platform, 4th generation written on them and i also have some purple ones with a pic of beckham and open funcard, 4 written on it...

if i use the purples ones in a newer 2100 (with virgin and and v box logos on the front) the box works fine. yet if i try one of the yellows ones (which i always used in the original 2100's with NTL on the front) they wont work at all, i only get free channels and the suscription channels are black...

its baffling me as to why...

is it not something to do with this chaos flash? also, are you writing the flash as a hex? as per my other post in tour other thread.
