Hi all
i have a more than one modem and have 2 rs232 device.
The problem i am having is i just cant get the device to detect to work with my modem i have just got a new device with the little LED on it and it lights up when its connected to the modem but nothing is streaming form the modem. not getting any data.
I have tested on 2 pc's and Nothing.

Also i cant get my blackcat cable to work.
I have around 6 cables and all wont detect my modem
my ambit used to get detected but for some reason even that ain't detected anymore.

Whats going on. could the isp be doing something to the modems?Its getting really annoying i am stuck with old firmware on my sb5101e cant update it.

Does any one know if their is a way to update via Ethernet?

hmmmm you useing same moddem on all of them, cos it could be your nodem

I had this m8, but i traced the pin outs on my max 232, it turns out the guy i bought it from ( wont mention names ) told me the wrong pin outs. So i swapped the rx and tx cables around and viola it worked...Get a max diagram and check it out... Unless youve used it before on other modems , if so plse ignor me

strnage thing is with my blackcat i know the cable works becuase i used it 2 days ago.

I think i could be running into multible problems

Bloody doing my head in

Any one know if i can flash my sb5101 over network?
