Exclamation noob: hyperterminal help

Hi,

i cant seem to get the below option to come up.

Enter '1', '2', or 'p' within 2 seconds or take default...

All that comes up in hyperterminal is some funny symbols.

i'm using an rs232 and ambit 250.

Please help.

i had this at start mate but i just cant remember how i sorted it,it was only a few days ago,lol... switching connections or changing ports ect might help

i've got it to come up the options. just put the connector on wrong way.

I have another problem now. when i type anything in hyperterminal it comes up with funny symbols so i cant put in the board ip address etc.

can you help.

what are u trying to do first? are u trying to flash it or configuring?

One of a few things could be wrong.

You could have put the connector cable on the wrong pins or in the wrong order on the modem from your rs232 hardware.

Or your speed settings are incorrect for the modem, make sure its 115200, 8 N 1 and try either hardware or off for flow control.

Finally it might be your serial port on your PC. I found on my laptop I just got garbage come up through Hyperterminal and couldn't even push P. Tried it on a desktop PC worked a treat.

Hi guys,

I am also having trouble, i am unsure sure on how to change my network adaptor settings as it is not very clear in the guide. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
