Can i get a new card from virgin?

i just recently got hold of a v+ box without the card or bk. before i buy it of him i wanted to know if i can get it working. i was told frm whom i got the box that i can ring up virgin media and ask for a replacement card and they'll send me one. i just have to tell them mine is lost or damaged. aboviously frm the new card i can get the bk by givin them the serial number of the box for the card replacement.
now i knw virgin aint going to send one at all instead they are going to ask me where did you get the box and all that. i dont even know who the original owner is, but one thing for sure is that the box is not modded at all. do you think so if i tell themi bought it from someone from a car boot sale and that i need a card to watch free channels or subscribe???

Err dont even think about ringing vm with that, you`l only dig a hole for yourself.

you dont need a card to watch free to air channels but you will get error messages.you can prog a card with just correct ird & false b/k to receive free to air channels with no messages.

Did you actually read my post I didnt buy the hooky box it was a subbed one didnt do it intentionally but buy mistake didnt need the box pairing at all as I dont need that box.

So by me advising someone else not to make the similar mistake as I did wheres the harm in that.
