Hi Bob

I think you will find a lot of other receiver brands are around the same, many are not even open about it. You could always switch off at the mains! Still it is an excellent receiver and value for money considering you are getting a patched receiver that can get both satellite and terrestrial signals.

agree good value, but like everything on standby is costly and with some if you switch them off everyday, the software plays up, but I suppose good value.
