Default COAX cable?

Now I'm using a cloned modem, I want to install my subbed modem in another room. So I'm going to need some COAX cable. Which is the best to use?

Also, is the coax cable for virgin cable the same cable that sky use as I want to replace the black sky cable to a white one.
If it is the same, I can buy a big reel of it.

Is it easy to put the connectors on the ends of the wire?

Thanks.

The stuff SKY installers normally use is whats known as `honeycomb` cable. Look inside the ends, its cheap plastic insulator that basically has a honeycomb look to it. Thats all the sheilding you get. Its cheap to buy and thats about it.

We used foam shielded co-ax that was far better. Thicker, better insulated and designed for the demands of CATV and cable modems. If you can, just look at a cross section of it.

that stuff ive posted is the good stuff.

you can tell how good it is when you bend it. the honeycomb stuff bends straight away and kinks and leaves the insulation white looking because its streched the pvc.

it also just has the stranded outer conductor. this stuff has that foil type stuff with it too.

its a fiver to get delivered thou. if you buy a couple of hundred clips at £1.49 you'll soon get your moneys worth out of it. plus its delivered the next day by parcelforce.

(no i dont work for SF!)

I used to work for SF...LOL
Yeh, if its NOT the honoeycomb kinkable (ooh err) rubbish, then it will be fine.
Personally black cable inside a property looks u.g.l.y!

Telewest insisted white was to be used inside...Until a customer wanted it outside or black inside...Weirdos! LOL
