Hi
first sorry for my english im from germany long time out of school ![]() i have an SB5101e chip says 28f160 c3bd70 a6437620 its intel i tryed flash bootloader but i got errors wile flashing. now there is no lights on an black cat cant detect flash an also cpu: Manufacturer: Broadcom Cannot find part(4996) i tryed about 10 times detect cpu and it says : Manufacturer: Broadcom Part: bcm3349 detect flash: Detected a (null) flash ic flushing buffer... done ![]() i can do wath i want it wont detect flash. i tryed hardreset 3,3v tu pin 1-9 dont help. jtag 1.3 says: Read IDCODE: 0x0334917f Manufacturer: Broadcom Part: BCM3349 Version: 0x0 --------------------------------- Create & Clear RAM Buffer (0x80000000 - 0x80800000) Load Configuration File: bcm3349.def IR Length: 0x5 Endian: Big Protocol: EJTAG RAM Start Address: 0x80000000 RAM Size: 0x800000 FLASH Start Address: 0x9fc00000 --------------------------------- Read IMPCODE: 0x24d96db6 EJTAG Version: 2.5 EJTAG DMA Support: No --------------------------------- Detect FLASH : Unknown (Manufacturer’s: 0x334917f Device: 0x0000) the cable is working fine i got an other modem from a friend to test it. wen i try to flash 2mb file BC runs to 100% in lass then 5 seconds PELASE HELP ME WHAT CAN I DO?????? |

check out mytutorial at sb5101 no flash detected

You can also run a knife along the flash chip metal legs whilst still plugged in. I use a penknife (swiss army knife). Look for the Intel, Toshiba, AMD flash.
Once it detects but not the flash just do this while still plugged in with Jtag and power in modem. Once the lights flash after running the knife along the edge of the flash and the modem resets hit "detect" and you should be able to flash from there. I've done this multiple times on 3 types of modems. My 5101e luckily I knew what I was doing to not brick that lol. The rest took me a few hours to figure out but the search button does wonders for that .
