Default help samsung 2100c

i just got a modded ntl samsung 2100c,
plugged it all in and perfect all channels.
tried it at a friends house and just got black screen with vm logo,
so i put it back at my house and now i only get the VM logo (and ld30 code wich then goes away)
please help but be aware i know nothing about modding.
card is ntl nagravision
i alo cant turn it off, i have to unplug it

from the info youve given i assume youve taken it from your area (ex cw) to your mates (pure ntl)
and the net id has automatically tried to adjust,which it does in pure areas
reason you just got black screen at your mates is its probably got a excw image on the card
when youve reconnected at your house the net id is wrong which is why your getting the ld30 message
only way to sort it would be the funcard method for changing the net id back

the other house i tried it in is only 2 miles from my house,
i looked at the netid tutorial, looks abit complicated and i dont have any of the things i would need ( proggers and card readers)
does this mean i will have to pay some one to fix it for me, i only just got it today.

check what your net id should be here (its the 5 digit number) also check the frequencyList of Net Id's for Cable TV
then compare it with the net id on the box in the engineers menu
plug the box in whilst holding the up & down buttons until ld14 appears and on page 2 is the net id
