Eurovox500 - Picture quality and Sound

Not a teci person.

Just purchased the Eurovox500 with Hard drive.
Have set e/thing up. I have got V****n cable coming into the house.

One end of the RF cable has got a sharp pointed pin. So I purchased a f connector. connected this to it. The other end of the f connector is now connected to the Eurovox box

PROBLEM - NEED HELP with
I am picking up all the channels and sound. However the picture quality is NOT as sharp as what I was getting with sky.

The sound quality is also very poor.

I can tell this because I have set up the sky one on AV2 and Eurovox on AV1. Therefore by flicking between the 2 AVs i can see the difference in picture/sound quality.

Just to give you an idea. Sky AV2 - sound will be on say BAR 8. Where as on Eurovox it will go down to say 2.

Am i doing anything wrong in my set up. Or is it a case that I may have dodgy box ?

If anybody can help then it would be appreciated.

PS : Only channels I am not picking up is SKY NEWS and SKY 1. Would this be correct ??

Agree with the channels u are not picking up.

Were did u get box from? Have you checked the scart leads?

The pic wont be as good as Sky HD and maybe not as sharp as Sky but its as sharp as cable..!

is the box its self turned up.ya dont get sky1 on cable any more.r try changing the frequency a little on a bd channel and see if that fixes it.

Also check your box is set to rgb in the menu.
