My ntl box is now only showing the free channels. I've been told I need an Infinity USB to try and read the ntl card thats in it at the moment. If this doesn't work and is locked then I need to programme my own funcard.
I only have a usb socket on my laptop and no serial port. Which Infinity USB do i need? The Unlimited supports Phoenix via USB and the Phoenix model only supports Phoenix via serial but otherwise works via USB? Do i need the phoenix function? I just need the cheapest option! ![]() Thanks for any pointers! |

also are there any cheaper alternatives I should consider for my basic needs?
£35 seem a cheap price by market standards but expensive for a poor boy like me! |

if your just doind a fun card, u dont need the phoenix function thats for use with mosc cards etc, so jus get yourself a cheap programmer, id get yourself a dynamite or something, does funcards via usb and also has phonix if needed at a later date.

any idea where to get a dynamite? can't see any on ebay.
what would i need a phoenix function for in the future? what extra stuff could i do? I'm more concerned with being able just to update my current ntl branded card, therefore not having to buy and set up a new funcard. what type of card is the ntl branded one? sorry for all the questions! |

the unlimited is isnt good with reading writing mosc card unless u use an old version its excellent for programming funs/atmegas its based over usb, the phoenix is a great programmer does moscs fine, u need to use a rs232 connector, 9pin male to female connector
