forgot username & password

a few days ago i changed my username & password to access 192.168.100.1..now my new pw & un dont work so now i cant access my modem configuration page anymore, is there any other way of accessing the page or changing the pw & un again ...thanx

i flashed a 200 modem & it worked fine. from a few days ago for some reason i cant access it at all & im sure my login details were correct.

did you leave the login details as default if so the cable company may have locked your modem

i didnt mate , i have the same unique user/pass i use for each modem

im not that fussed about it now though as i got some newer modems

if its a forgotten pass or user just reflash it. only takes a few minutes and ya back up and running again lol so take the easy route just reflash the modem..

thats exactly what i tried mate & it wouldnt even let me reflash it,it didnt give 1,2 or p option

this is a 200 ambit ffs just blackcat bootloader on takes 30 seconds then go into hyperterminal and reflash with new firm of your choice as 1 2 p option is returned lol

you make it sound so simple , what happens if you havent got that equiptment?
The purpose of me mentioning it was to find out why this would happen as the modem was already flashed & working fine,i thought it was a mac problem but it wouldnt even let me in to change it so i thought it had took some kind of hit. you seem to assume because you know what to do that everyone else does mate.

what software you got on it, if its sigma you can use a max232 cable and softjag on it,

try this in hyper

cd /cm_hal
scan_stop

Change Http Admin Login & Password.

this will show you wot its set at now.

cd \non
cd msg
http_admin

and if you wont to change it try this

cd \non
cd msg
http_admin youruser yourpass
write
