Windows XP - jumping between windows/applications

Hi all
Just been reading this thread and i had a similar problem about a year ago the problem with mine was exactly the same and i found more by accident that it was the wheel on my mouse that was causing the trouble, if i left the mouse alone even for just a short period the my windows would start changing from one to the other and doing all sorts of strange things but as soon as i touched it then it stopped so i just got a new mouse and its never happened since strange i know but then they do tend to take on a life of their own at times but that worked for me, cant remember what type of mouse it was but i think it was a labtech, no harm in trying sometimes its the simple things that get you.gl

on similar lines to steve49, have you checked its not your keyboard, one of the shortcut keys may be sticking intermitently, try another keyboard or maybe shake any dust/debris from it, no matter how careful you are, it may be as simple as that. gl.
