Default Freeware Txt Editor that can edit multiples of 16mb files

Prolix 2.1

Prolix 2.1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A text editor that can handle multiple files up to 16 megabytes in size. It has a clean, easy-to-use interface and useful features such as a speedbar, 16 kilobytes of undo and redo buffer, Wordstar and DOS editor keyboard command compatibility, up to ten visible bookmarks, a split window mode to allow two views of the same editor file and more. Entirely self-contained - no external DLL or VBX files required. Does not modify system

I was looking for a text editor that can edit 16,000+ lines of codes and there you are I was able to download 2 freeware but like allaire/macromedia homesite 4.5 it hangs on these size like it's only 3+MB but it every time hangs when doing a global replace all, but I found this freeware and it handled the file in a blink of an eye not even a second, very fast when you edit huge number of lines I think it could go for 30,000 lines of codes but it says 16mb so my calculation is about 80,000+ lines of codes. so I share them to you, hope you like it

mmmm sounds interesting , wonder how does its php support. I use dreamveawer to codings its good but need lot of resources. i would be nice to have a text editor which needs less resources. Im going to check this one.

it can code everything but assuming you know php syntax but what i like about the program is it's only about 938kb in file size but it can handle 3mb files in a flash very fast indeed. dreamweaver is no text editor but has one but yeah it occupies large amount of memory.

another feature of the program i like is it's the colored text you can set different colors for different tags.

yah that's what i like it first about it, it even beats macromedia homesite when editing mb's file sizes and does global searches and global replace in a matter of seconds on huge files.

To a coder it may be useful, however why not use a coding program?

This could be used for long txt... maybe ebooks, text graphics.
