Default problems with hyperterminal. help please

managed to figure out abit of how to setup modem but stuck on hyperterminal. put settings in which was on disc i got with 232 233 cable. trying to put 255 infinitie on. cant get no info on screen. tried 1,2 and p but nothing??????????

hi m8 if ya can tell use what the max232 is ie is it a 232 or 233 it says on the chip so easy to find .. also did ya set up hyperterminal correctly im gunna add a link to the correct file thats set for hyperterminal so itll help ya also the tut that ya need is on the haynes cable modem bible heres a link so thisll help ya just goto 250 section on it and itll tell ya all the settings ect.

its a 232. got most of files but still cant get p option so think it needs chip doing. so just going to try and get aother modem then try that to see if that works. any recommendations where to pick 250/255 cheap?

Do u get anything at all in hyper? reason i ask is because i had the same problem ( i had no text in hyper at all ) but once tftpd32 was running i did get the 'p' option. This was on a webstar, so it might be different on a 250, as ive never done 1....

It might be the the way the wire is connect mine is connected diff from the the picture in the tut i read to!!

try it diff ways till the light on ya max comes on like this way ive done. piccy below
