Default DBOX 2 LCD Menu Working - But no VIDEO nor NETWORK - Please HELP

Hello -

As I have the knowledge of flashing the BDOX2 via FTP and Remote I thought to buy another DBOX2 from eBay. This is what the description was "Had this dbox for about 12 months and it has worked perfectly, I haven't used this box for a few months now it has lost all the channels. According to other people I need to reflash a image to box and update the keys or something. I haven't got a clue what to do hence selling it as faulty and no returns."

Today I received the box and connected it up. The Box is not displaying anything on TV, not the boot nor menu - nothing. Everything is visable via the LCD. So I decided to connect to the network. From the menu I setup the IP address settings correctly but I was not able to ping or connect via it.

Please can someone help me. Give me advise on what to do or have I just bought a deadbox from eBay???

i do not have a X-over cable - I only have straight RJ45 cable and a hub. Would that not work?

In that case, it does not work. I have tried IFA version 1.5.6 and the latest 3.11
Version 3.11 says waiting for DBOX to start

Have you tried both scart sockets / different scart leads ??

Scarts can be very sensitive at times give it a good wiggle !!!!

I have tried differrent scart cables. I also tried the VCR scart coonection which connects to my DVD player and then the TV via Component. The same connections works with my working DBOX.
