hi got a 255 with infinite installed all was working ok but now its asking to register my modem. also i cant access the infinite dash and i cant change my mac either how can i get around this any help would be great

well i think its my max232 as i cant access the good modem that i am using now all i get is a run time error about 3/4 the way through can anyone confirm if this might be the case and is there a way i can test my max232 any help would be great many thanks

why not use ambit tool and change the mac there over ethernet cable thats the easy way like

have tried that but i cant seem to connect keeps coming up with log in failure is there a guide on doing this maybe i am doing suttin wrong like the ip address's or suttin really am lost now any help would be great and thanks for the reply

if you changed the user and pass, use the same in the login fields in the Ambit Tool Software, more than likely it be user and password that you've changed when putting on the infinite firmware...

am using the correct user name and password as i can access the modem through i.e but it still wont let me connect with either 250 configurator or ambit config tool

also if i use 250 configurator over telnet i get connected ok then it says comm error (read) but if i connect using my max232 it says connected but the program just hangs and i cant do anything with it.
if not could i just reflash the modem with infinite again would i have the 1,2,p options still please help this is aint funny anymore

just check for the P option then and re-flash it with infinite, if you cant get P Option, then use the Unlocker and run the Bootloader thru with Softjtag..
