pc in different room from modem

please help.... I current receive broadband through a modem that is connected to the computer via a nice blue ethernet cable and connected to the broadband cable (which comesthrough the wall.

what I want is to buy (excuse my novice terminology) is a device that means i can keep the modom in this room and move my computer into another room and there for hav no wirless connection between the pc and the modem, but keep the modem stuck to the same wire in the same room.

If anyone can tell me what i'm looking for that would be sweeeet!

You need a bit of kit called a netgear WG602 Wireless Access Point or something similar.
