TheBox PVR jumping/sticking on HDD playback

Hi all.
I recently bought the above box and fitted it with a 160GB Seagate HDD.
Everything is working fine apart from on playback of things i've recorded.

On a few films i've recorded they jump or stick for a second or two throughtout, this is becoming annoying.
One film played back spot on though.

Any ideas anyone?

I take it that the jumping and sticking doesn't happen when you are watching live?

I had a problem watching live with jumping and squeeking. I got a signal booster which stopped this altogether.

Have you tried a different hard disk to rule that out?

i havent got another one, but can i use one that my mate has in his box?

where would i get a good signal booster as some channels jump and squeek when i record another channel

Try Argos they do a cheap SLX booster with variable gain. It works quite well on all box types.

I bought mine on Ebay, it is a big yellow Konig something. About £16-18 Works great.
