Default New Setup issues

hi all.

All my kit has been installed and at first I thought it was all fine however i have come across a few issues.

1. the FireDTV viewer is not working, when scanning for channels clicking on the scan buttons gives me a hardware cannot be found error.

2. In VMC I am missing a few channels, some movie channels SD1 and SD2 TCM and a few others a couple of music channels are also missing and BBCHD.

I have read through a few threads on here and although they cover similar issues they do not seem to get to any resolution.
I am running the TV pack, is this a possible issue?

thanks

Hi Toga. Good to see you're progressing nicely there, my friend.

FireDTV viewer had problems with the TV Pack initially when clicking the Scan button, but the latest beta drivers pack from Digital-Everywhere (think it's dated 19th September) contains a working one. Is that the one you're running?

In VMC, I'm using the transponder list on this thread h**p://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/36633-transponder-files-for-6952-floppytv-c.html and it's picking up all the Movies channels and BBC HD. Not sure which transponder they're on, but might be worth comparing the list to yours to see which are missing (or just using the posted file).

Hope something here helps.

I know you're new here, but posting the same message four times in completely unrelated threads and forums is not the best way to get an answer - it's probably the best way to get a warning though!

If you have a question on a Eurovox, post it in the Eurovox forum.

Rocket science!

Hi Stu.

I have the latest Beta drivers from the manufacturers site.

I'll give the transponders file a go tonight and report back on how it goes

I have imported the reg file and resetup the TV signal. When VMC checks for signal type it tells me it cannot detect signal type. I chose to carry on anyway and it cannot find any channels.
any ideas?

Bum! Forgot to mention that file will only work for 6952 (ex-TW) areas. If you open the list in Notepad, change the 6952 to the appropriate one for your area, then save it and re-import it to the registry, it should work.

Sorry, meant to say that and forgot. Oops.

@Katey456 - sorry for being stroppy earlier in the thread. Wasn't in a good mood and took it out on you. Sorry.

Sweet, that did the trick, all of the channels are now showing, Cheers Stu

Not so bothered about the software that came with the card not working, now that VMC is correct.
