Default yet another noobie ???

Hi All,

please excuse this post if my q's have already been answered previously, I have spent a day looking searching the forum and over a week trying to sort a card out...

As a noob, I downloaded all the tuts and files from chatterbox toolbar and followed all instructions as to how to retrieve the bk.

I was unaware that I had an au card (fun4) and accidentally erased the flash using dynamite plus.

I've searched everywhere for the flash for excw area, tried all files found here and cb toolbar.

can someone please put me out of my misery?

Thanks.

I've got to the stage where I get the channels but no picture (other than the fta stuff).

the bits I'm unsure of:

1.
rhv
I used rhv (toxic) to generate the exteep, the only choice of provider is cw, tw, and ntl,

I chose cw (but am in ex cw area?)

also I typed the ird in backwards, as per newbie guide?

2.
do i use the cw hex, even though I'm in ex cw, or is there a specific hex I need to find?

once again, thanks in advance.

good try but no.

if your using toxic, put ird forwards.

ex c+w, c+w same thing. all the sub networks telewest, ntl, cable and wireless, nynex (who were they??) got bought my VM.

its still the same net that C+W put in so we call it c+w or ex c+w. same thing dood.

yeah, the flash for (ex) c+w is in the toolbar. it is indeed a hex.....

providing you know your ird and bk, erase the card a couple of times.....

make your exteep with toxic using 27 (+make rest up) for cam ID

pase in ird (forwards) and bk.

save this new exteep and convert from a .bin to a .hex with swapbinhex just drag the .bin over the icon.exe and it will make a new .hex file

and load into exteep part of your proggy software.

load hex in progy software.

leave the inteep blank.

wtite it and give it upto 15mins to update the keys.

Hi G77,

thank you.

I tried exactly what you said but it didn't work.

funnily enough I restored the flash file back in the orig. fun4 and it worked!

stumped as to why I can't write another card using the same bk and ird?

i also tried creating the exteep with bke 2.2 in all variations (e.g. dist, rst, etc.) but none worked?

any idea why?

once again thanks.

using:

dynamite plus
cas 8.5

toxic 7 (altho' shows as 6)
RST
BKE

files:
fun1_CW.hex (excw)
cw-chaos08042008.hex (didn't work with this file although its meant to be excw)

the other funny thing is that nothing would read my exteep (of original card) exept a prog called 'amega and fun reader'.

that explains why that didn't work in my old pace box...

still can't work out why i can't program a new card for it though. is there a particular hex format I need to use alongside fun1_CW.hex, e.g. can i use toxic, bke or rst to generate the exteep?

I've tried using cam 27***** (for excw), cw settings on toxic & rst, correct bk and ird, and still no success.

is it easier to program a titanium 1 card? I read somewhere that there's a fix to view od?

sorry for the barrage of noobie q's but your answers are very much appreciated...
