Default Bigger Dish=Better Signal?????????

Hello to everyone. I have an 80cm motorised dish and technomate super usb receiver . I can currently get many satellites but my problem is with 1 w. I watch this the most. I can get 40/50 % signal on most channels but when it rains it is unwatchable. I want to know how much of a difference a 1m dish would make. As I can get a good signal when the sky's are clear would upgrading to a 1m dish get me a better picture come rain or sun? The elevation of dish/motor are fine as all other sats pics are great. Thanks in advance.

I can help you there mate,

An increase in dish size from 80cm to 1m will give you an increase of 56% in signal collection.

Am pretty sure that will increase strength and quality.

1.2m dish will give you 125% increase in signal collection. You will need planning permission for it though if you live in England/Wales but not in Scotland.

I'm going to put up my second dish next week, hopefully. And it's going to be the biggest I can find

upgrade to a 1m or 1.2 as that will bring in the signal but as your up in scotland you should get good reception of 1west due to the footprint and being nearer to it

1m gibertini dish with smart titanium lnb will improve your reception

I think you'll find 1m is the limit in Scotland, well, it is in Aberdeen.
