You're not getting off that easy mate !! No way are you giving up......We'll get you sorted mate !!!

Here's a beginners guide, it's a bit old but you'll get the general idea.

Get yourself a crossover network cable and an FTP client eg flashfxp, cuteFTP or the one I am using at the moment filezilla.

Have a good read and flash your box with a new image then come back if you need help.

Just carn,t get my box 2 connect. I.v got a working image.keeps freezing 4 about 10 secs. in new channels got more moives but says error no EPG. only got 3 movies at mo

Are you definately using a crossover cable and not a straight one ??

Try a different ucode for your freezing problem, I suggest 001A. You must reboot your box after switching ucodes.

For missing channels you need to do a servicescan as follows.

Set your location, ie select the town you live in from the alphabetical list ( normally in the blue button menu ) then reboot your box.

Using remote control press dbox > service > servicescan

Turn fast scan on and then press blue to scan...will take three or four minutes to complete.

Using remote control press dbox > service > bouquet editor

Use the coloured buttons to create new bouquets or add new channels to your existing bouquets.

PS.....It would be helpful to know what type of box you have, Nokia/Sagem, and which image you have running.

nokia dbox 2. neutrino/ gav12345. when i got the box it came with cross over cable i think. Do i need 2 conect the box 2 change ucodes. my bouquet or just nimbers and letters. done fast scan taks about 5 secs

You must set your location via the blue button menu and reboot the box before you scan !!

Ucode selection should be in the blue button menu structure aswell !!

Don't give up...........you're not far away !!!

ucode is 001a. only getting 18 channels.
