Unhappy Humax iCord HD

Hi guys,
I’ve just purchased Humax iCord HD but ppl telling me its not a good receiver and i am better off with Dreambox 800 or Sonicview 8000HD... how bad of a mistake i made. hince i can still call in and change my order if i acted fast!
I picked Humax iCord as it gives me the ability to tape 4 different channels and it'll upscale regular FTA channels.

Your thoughts are appreciated. Hence i currently reside in Kuwait.

Thanks,
Derek

I have never heard of the Sonicview but the Dreambox 800 is completely different breed of receiver to the iCord. For starters the 800 only has a single tuner so you cannot record one channel let alone 4 and watch another, the 800 picture quality I feel is no better than the iCord. Derek what do you want from a receiver?

Many thanks for your quick reply shouthernsatellite. First of all satellite receiver will be connected to 46" Samsung sires 6 LCD TV, basically I need the following from my satellite receiver:
1. Since most FTA channels in Kuwait are standard definition (not HD) I need the receiver to upscale the picture to enhance viewing quality.
2. Excellent HDMI connection
3. being able to record from different channels simultaneously
4. Receiver that give me the flexibility to upload patches or software to unlock channels.
5. Last but not least to be able to connect an external HDD and view Photos, and downloaded movies

Thanks,
Derek
