look in the stickys to find out how to update its firmware, its dead easy just hav a quick look.
hav u got a null-modem cable and a COM port on ur computer? if u do, u can do it in 5 mins u will need the TCB.cc toolbar (TheChatterBox | Cable TV Specialists) to get the firmware files, but, if u dont know what box u hav u aint gona know what firmware to get does it hav a hard drive or can u record? if u can its a Eurovox EX5000 PVR. could be a Max, theres a few different ones. If you can, take a pic of it and put it on here |

dont take it too heart we are all friends here.
all you need will come with the jatag kit from TMC. but you will need a `null modem cable` to put the firmware back on after jtagging. also after jtagging you will not be able to use the scart connection because the jtaging process disables this. you will have to use a rf lead connected to the box ,next find the box via a manual UHF scan and then do a factory reset of the box, then the scart will work. dont worry when you get the jtag post here. |

jtagging is just putting a cable *soldering may or may not be required ive never done it* into the main circuit board on the box inside, then connecting this to ya pc. it can get quite complicated so ur probably best paying somebody to do it, but like we've already said, all the information is avaliable, use search and stickys and i feel like u were being quite rude to be honest but i'll let that pass
lol u do start to think..... |
