Default SA Explorer 4200DVB Help

Can anybody tell me how to change the Net ID? I am no good at soldering so that route isn't really an option.

Thanks .

then the net id is gonna stay as it is then if you wont solder pal as far as i can remember there is a 1024/512 chip located some where on the board it has to come off and be blanked with either all ffffffffffs or all 00000000s then use a fun card to set it

lifting the chip is easy i do it all the time

So I need to desolder the chip, blank it (will my Elvis programmer do it?), solder it back onto the board and then set the Net ID with a Funcard?

thats the idea blakey yeah. dunno about the elvis but you can try, the willem 'works' take a dump of the chip before you write anything to it. let me know how you get on. i'm struggling with one of these at the moment. i get to the point where i've put the card in, it resets and just trys to update and stays like that. maybe ot has a faulty tuner. but it wont let me into eng menu again as its in this update loop.

the pads aren't as fragile as the 8300. i've soldered this chip on and removed it about 8 times now and the pads are still looking good.

a bit of meths is a good idea........ not to drink (at first, lol) but to wipe off the flux and crap with an earbud.
