Default Paranoia setting in??

Hi all, I know this is an ev forum but bear with me. I hav vm TV, Broadband and Phone, today the phone line went dead and after reporting the problem they said no faults were showing on their system and would have to send a technician out to investigate (next Monday!! how crap is that?) I know my phone handsets are not to blame. but is this a sneaky way for them to gain access to my home to pry? Yes I do have a Max V hence my concern. Has anybody else had this happen to them???

had the same problem last year, just stripped it all out and returned it after the had gone .All worked fine afterwards.Think it is standard practice to want access to property in case it is internal.

Yes I had a similar thing happen, phone went dead so arranged an appointment for a vm technician to come round.
Removed my eurovox and installed original vm box then waited home the whole day they never turned up.
Then the next morning they turned up so I just didnt bother answering the door as I had put my eurovox back.
They tried to charge me £10 for not being in, but the phone got fixed anyway they didnt need to come in.
You dont have to let anyone in to your house who doesnt have an appointment.

i had exactley the same problem last year, spent hours decableing the house as i had dodgy boxes in each roomeurovoxes, modded sammys and a kryptview and the fookers came in,picked up the phone and told me it was dead (ye i fookin know that) then messed about outside and sorted the problem.
Took me almost 2 days to recable the house
