Setanta!! Will pay for help!!

I have now for 6 weeks struggled to get Setanta on my Eurovox MaxV. I now have to concede I have the technoligical know how of a Luddite or a Gibbon. The advise givn has been spot on but I am unable to get the extra channel required. Ive flashed flushed flished re-installed software to no avail. So now its over to you guys. I am happyto part with magic beans or coins of the realm if anyone living in or around the Manchester 20 area can get me this cherished channel (b******s to the golf one). My 7 years old also wants disney but I'm not to bothered. Any one help?

have you searched for a cdf (channel list file) for your area?

no I haven't. Is that where you try to add channels?

alternative boxes are full of bugs and missing channels why not stick to realboxes where you will always get setanta ,disney ,adult plus the rest ALWAYS none of this adding channel lists scanning for channels etc just mod an go

a cdf file is a file with all the channel frequencies etc. on it.
you download it to your box (similar to flashing it) and you don't have to scan, all the channels should be on it.
I know there is one in the CDF files for eurovox thread but whether it is the right one for you I don't know as ther are two different symbolrates for Manchester (the one I have seen is symbolrate 6952)

He is referring to an original modded box which in general does work better than all other boxes but not as many channels i.e. adult channels, Live events. The availability of them is the problem and in most cases owning 1 is illegal. Regardless of what he might say (as he is obviously trying to pedal his wares), these boxes are only ever the property of the CC and if found with 1 you could be charged with reset. On the otherhand if you have a box and cancelled it and the CC failed to come and uplift it then you could mod it yourself or get someone to mod it for you.

Ronster, much appreciated and sounds easy enough for me except I cannot add a channel number! I must be doing something stupidly wrong here. Also supposing I do get it right its Setanta 1 im after sod the golf and set 2!! Anyone have that frequency?

to put the channel number in after you press the red button you then have to press the info button, this brings up a screen with numbers and letters, select the numbers you want and go to the save box to exit that screen and the number will now be in place.
