Hey all
I've just started to have a play with this box and have problem. Am I right in thinking that the box only has one tuner in it? If I'm recording a program I can't change channel and watch something else which is quite frustrating. Am I missing something obvious or do I have to find another way of doing this? Sorry if this has been posted before but I haven't been able to find a thread about it. Thanx Ian |

Ok thanks mate - that is a bit rubbish!
What are the alternatives then? Can I connect my virgin set top box aswell and use that to watch other channels? I guess I'd need a cable splitter to do that? Or is there another way? Cheers Ian |

I disagree with peeps saying its rubbish what do you want for less than £100. If you need to be able to watch premium channels while recording premium channels and want a dual tuner set up buy a ex1000 to go with the pvr and have them in the same location.
The cost of both would be a decent price for a dual tuner and you'd have the versatility of using 1 in another room when needed. |

I think it would be nice if you could pause the recording when the adverts come on but i guess you cant have it all!! Still a great box to record stuff. Recorded the formula 1 last night on timer and then was able to speed through to the action and through the adverts with the fast forward etc..
A shame we cant steal the gorgeous bouquet menus with transparent background and epg from the dbox2 and ditch the ugly freeview style menu in eurovox but thats another moan i guess. Still it beats recording to an external drive or over the network like on the dbox or starview. |
