I don't quite understand all of this.. Complete sat n00b, few questions!

I currently have a HD Satellite receiver. Mine is the Fortec Star Passion HD, which i think is one of very few receivers than can get the ITV HD channel which is only meant to be available on the official Freesat boxes...

I have mine setup through HDMI at the moment, get quality picture, even on standard definition tv. Yes the surround sound should work fine through that.

I'm not too sure about the movie channels, i know theres some on the Premiere package at 19.2e (Germany) but they are changing the encryption, and nobody is too sure how long we'll still be able to get them through Diablo CAMs.

You can setup a favourite list, at least I know you can on mine lol, but that would still take sifting through the channels, then adding them to your list once you found the one you like. My receiver has a 'filter' option but not for languages, not sure if other receivers do.
