Red face 10 modems on one connection

Hi

i'm planning on running ten modems on one connection but not sure on a few things.

i only have three ethernet slots on my pc

So what would be da best way do i have to buy a lan switch or somthing

And i do not hvae enough slots to place another dual network card

da rest i know i have da software

So please only reply if u have constructive feed back

Would be a waste of time, you'll be asigned to a single 38Mbit card and wont ever be able to achieve more speed than that anyway..and if ur using them for uploading you will stick out like a sore thumb.

Besides, why would you want to steal -all- the bandwith?

I think the best you can achieve, without reducing the quality of the line, is about 5, and even then, i've been told your pushing it. I had two modems feeding a full network, and that ran through a Fileserver PC, loaded with Linux, and not only fileserved, but also acted as a firewall after my router. Try thinking small dude. I know I'm a n00b, but come on! 10 Modems.... And, as someone said above, if your downloading / uploading, expect to be caught fast. Although I don't know what the ramifications of you being caught with 10 modems running would be.

you can run 3 with a single pc.. wingate ect.

anymore than that and the coax is going to glow!

Hi

And thanks for all ur reply's this is for experiment purpose only and yes i do understand that it is quite much hench experiment.

I already have three modems connected to my pc giving me at most just under 40 meg download and upload of 2 meg.

i myself already pay for 20 meg from one provider so im not a person who likes to deprive others im quite confident that many peeps on this fourm dont even pay for what they use.

any way if ur wanting to assist me in this experiment please continue to reply

so running three modems on one line is not taking all the bandwidth from your neighbours and everyone in your ubr?
