Default EPG fpr VMC and TV Pack

Has anyone managed to get the EPG to update more than a couple of days worth of info on VMC with the TV Pack? Does the bladerunner / xmltv guide work for getting more days?

i haven't managed to get more than a few days.....haven't had chance to check bladerunner yet.

tv pack does not support xmltv and no fix available yet...but there's on-gong work apparantly

I've chucked an analogue card in - then it lets you download the guide like "the good old days". Because the TV Pack is seeing the FDTV as DVB-T, it apparently gets the guide from the stream rather than downloading.

I can't see the headend in the registry like before, so it must do it a different way. It's frustrating, 'cos the data is available...

I've asked FDTV if they can create a false analogue tuner along side the DVB-T driver.

I now have my setup running ok (haven't reordered the channels yet). Do I just put the analogue tuner in and install drivers for it ? Is there any additional setup in vmc needed ??

Yep, after you've chucked it in, if you start Media Center it (should) pick up the new card and ask you to go through setup.

Then, you can go through and "Combine" the channels (with TV Pack) together, and disable the analogue tuner for each channel (if you don't have an analogue signal going in). HTH.

I was looking for multi-tuner hacks for the TV Pack, and I came across this:

epgStream.net Support Forum • View topic - EPG Client for Fiji

Interesting that M$ and Digital Everywhere are both posting on that thread...
