Do a factory reset, rescan and turn key emu back on. Do the scan from the direct feed, i.e. no splitters. BTW there is some ongoing work happening in some VM areas if you are in the UK.

so does it always happen if your connected with a splitter in the cabling?

Occasionally when either you have a weak signal, bad connection/termination or an incorrect splitter.
