Hi.
I know this question has been answered many times, but i just cant get this right, although i am normally pretty good at this type of thing. I downloaded CCcam 2.0.9. After unzipping, there was a Var folder, inside this folder was, Bin, Etc and uninstall. I ftp´d The bin folder to Var/Bin (config and CCcam 2.0.9, chomd CCcam to 755) and the etc to Var/Etc/Plugin. When i go into manual install the CCcam folder is there, but the green button does nothing. Pressing ok makes the Folder dissapear, and if i go into setup, the Var memory has increased, and the Var/Bin/CCcam folder is shown, but if i right or left click on common interface, nothing happens, and under camds installed, only common interface shows. Many thanks in advance, Andy |

Andy just a quick one, if you are struggling why not just download it via the remote controle. It must surely be easier than sending it via ftp to the box. Blue button usally on those models.

Your box is probably a clone i would say
![]() The Gemini team made a few alterations to their software so it wouldn't work properly on clone machines. The most memorable one was the time bomb which wiped out the bootloader making the boxes inoperable. That was on version 4.31 i think ![]() I suggest you load another teams firmware onto your box just in case the same thing happens again ![]() I can recommend the images from the Nabilosat and PLi teams ![]() Quote:

Hi all.
Nearly there! Have flashed my box with darkstar 2, and managed to load CCcam. I am now trying to load Hacksat. I have a config, and an .so file. Can you tell me where i put these, and how to load them after? Thanks all Andy. |

Hi Jim.
Thanks for replying. Well, i did that already, but when i press the yellow button for add ons, it tells me there is nothing to install. I presumed that if everything had gone in correctly, then the premier channels on astra 19.2 would have opened. I will delete the files and try again later. Its a right pain here in spain, because you need a 2.4m dish for sly, and canal digital plus (they bought the rights) have said they will not air sports 1,2 and 3 until sly move the footprint so we cant get it at all. You cant get freesat without a 1.9m dish (995 euros to have installed), and as at the moment not all of the uk is coverd, maybe that footprint will change and we will lose that here as well. as soon as i sort this little problem out, i will then get a motor for my 80cm dish. I have heard that on one of the morrocan sats you can pick up bbc and itv. Anyhow, thanks for letting me have a good moan. I will keep you updated on the other subject. Thanks, Andy. |

Hi Jim.
Thanks, that seemed to work, but only opened up a couple of french channels, and although the audio was in french and english, it wouldnt change from french! I am hopeing to get a motor on saturday. We are pretty stuck here in alicante, its either a 2.4m dish for sly, or a 1.9m dish for freesat, so i am hopeing to pick up more english channels with a motor. I here the arab sats show bbc and itv, dont know how true it is. Again to you and the others, many thanks, Andy. |
