For anyone struggling to receive some of the channels on the Nordic beam I have just noticed that a few of the channels are being dual broadcast on another frequency which is a lot easier to pick up in the UK.
These include Eurosport 2, TV4 Sci Fi, TV4 Gold and TV4 Comedy. For anyone who has problems with 12476 H 27800 try scanning in 11341 V 24500. |

If you check lyngsat and kingofsat you will find maps that show the approximate size of dish required to receive channels on 1 West.
For example: BBC News World 11325 H 24500 _http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/thor5_t1.html _http://en.kingofsat.net/beams.php?s=102&b=171 and AXN Sci Fi, 11785 H 2800, part of Digi TV _http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/thor5_t2.html These maps show that you should get a signal, providing you have an undamaged dish and reasonable LNB. It might take a while to pick up the signal, when manually manoevering the dish, but sometimes you get lucky and align the dish fairly quickly. Try using BBC World News, as a guide, as this is FTA and a fairly strong signal. |
