hi im new to the free sat and i need some help.iv recently bought a philex free sat kit from b&q for £40 i allready had a sky dish up so i just had to conect the box any way to cut a long story short .i tuned it in and i got 3000 chanels but there was a lot of the scrambled .iv been told you can update the box via a laptop or pc is this true .if so how do you go about doing it.any help will be apresiated.

3000 channels from one satellite! never heard of that before! Anyway pursuming your dish is pointed at 28.5 east (Freesat and Sky) then there is no way you can receive any scrambled channel for free even if you could update your receiver, you would have to have a Sky card for any Sky scrambled service. Oh welcome to the frum.

He won't get any Sky unless its a cable box.
