Probably an overheating issue mate and would be the same procedure for fixing as 3 red lights. Mate of mine runs a shop that fixes them and some showbetween 1 and 3 red lights, some dont show any but the pictures freezes or goes to pot!
Excellent games machine but crap for reliability!!

Depends where you go, my mate charges 45 at his shop and gives either a 60 or 90 day guarantee. Can be done yourself for a cople of quid plus a decent tube of thermal paste, but can be a headache to get right!

Isn't the two red lights if the XClamp mod isn't done correctly? I think you need to tighten the bolts you replace the clamps with. I may be wrong but that's the situation I was in.

No probs mate...it will probably come back with a new motherboard and one of those pesky lite-on drives...nice unless your modding it!

Haha, there's plenty of tuts on the net anyway on how to spoof the Lite-On drive. You could just buy an XBox 360 Elite which should not have a Lite-On. You will probable get a BenQ or Hitachi 079 which are both easy to mod .

Pretty much anything thats coming off the shelves or back from microsoft after repair has a lite-on drive. Very lucky if get anything else!! Not as hard as it sounds to get the key off the drive though

I'm actually thinking of modding a mates Lite-On. Do you know where I can buy (or preferably build) a Max3232 for extracting the key?
