Iv seen most of the pics on were to cut the TRACK , & belive on this model u have to get inside the tuner to do this ..but im not sure how to take the tuner to bits , i dont want to brake anything! has anyone got any pics or could explaine how to get into the turner please so i can find the TALKBACK TRACK ! thx (as iv not seen any tuts on how to do this )

the tuner comes off the main board. undo the nut which is around the cable input. there is then a screw holding the tuner to the pastic plug under the board. remove this. the tuner should then just slide off to the side of the box. if the box looks dusty and/or damp, you might need to use more force than usual to get it to come away from the boad as it might be stuck a bit with rust. your not going to break anything. just push it towards the side of the box with your thumbs while holding the side of the box with your fingers. you then manuover it towads the back of the box to get the cable supply thing out of the hole.
twist the bent bits of metal straight again and the lid of the tuner will come off. you have to be carefull doing this bit as the edges of the metal are very sharp! |

did you get it sorted mate? i know its hard to find when you arnt familiar with the boxes.
btw its the CIM(Cable interference module) , some call it the tuner though |

@ roco iv found it m8 ..well i ended up lifting the last pin/leg on the chip as shown .....all done ....iv took some pics of it ...........so if anyone else gets this prob ..ask me & i will post them if needed .... thx again Roco ...

just a quick question. i'm wanting to find out the bk and ird off a paird card of which the box has been taken off streem. wanted to know if there is any way of the cable-co finding out if the card has been red if the card and box go back online...
