Now that I have TVPack2008 installed and scanned my channels I have a few questions....
If I re-scan and look for a few channels that are missing, will I loose the order of the ones I have selected/re-organised in my setup ?? Is there any way to back up my channels and or use them in anonther install of VMC ?? It is a real pain sorting them out !

If you "scan for additional channels" (or whatever it's called) you shuoldn't lose all your setup. If you delete all your channels, then rescan, then you will.
You're not the first to ask for a way of backing it all up. I use Acronis to backup my whole setup, but it would be great to just backup the channel changes so you can rebuild them after a fresh rebuild. I think I need to rescan mine (I have two channel 3's at the minute, somehow), if you can wait, I'll do mine and let you know. |

You don't need to scan with an analogue card if you tell it you have a STB.
Once you've put the card in, it should see the new card and ask to add it, then you tell it you have Cable with a STB and a remote. It'll download the guide (you can select the correct one off the list) and use the channel numbers frm the guide. You have to go thrugh the STB setup, though. What I've done before is to say that I dn't have a remote, then you have to select your STB manufacturer (Pace) and model (first one off the list). Tell it you're using S-Video, enter a channel number, then tell it you can see a picture and that your STB changed channle fine. I think that's it... |

Got it working ok - I did have to scan again for my dvb-c cards and I needed an active signal to all cards to get it to work.
I now have the old EPG runnning and it has updated for 2 weeks. A few of the channels still only have 3 days, but not many. I have now disabled the analogue card and everything seems ok. Will it still keep updating for me or will I have to leave the analogue card active ?? Lastly I have noticed that my mute button does not work properly since tvpack2008. Anyone else notice this?? when I press mute, the volume counts down to zero, then unmutes ?? any ideas ?? gaz_az |

Yes - I am using an iMon VFD, but in a Zalman case. I will try disabling it and using the other.
